2017 Chevrolet Models
Over the years, Chevrolet has built their lineup to include a variety of models as well as improving vehicle quality and their efforts have definitely paid off in the last few years. In 2016, five Chevrolet models were named I.I.H.S. Top Safety Picks as well as ranked highest in their segment in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) and this year, three Chevy models were named Top Safety picks and ranked highest in their segment in the J.D. Power IQS.

Chevy Spark
The Chevrolet Spark is one of the most affordable new vehicles on the market, so it is extremely affordable as a used vehicle. The Chevy Spark is a small car that averages 30 mpg on the city, 37 mpg on the highway and has a combined city/highway fuel economy of 33 miles per gallon. The Spark is available in 10 different exterior colors, so it may be small, but it definitely has character.

The Chevrolet Cruze is the one of the world’s best selling models. The Cruze is available as a sedan and a hatchback and two engine options and one of them is a very fuel efficient diesel engine. The Cruze comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen, so it feels like a high-end sedan in any trim.
Chevy Malibu
Named the best midsize car for families by the U.S. News, the Chevy Malibu is a versatile sedan that has plenty of space for passengers and cargo. The Malibu is available as a regular gas-powered vehicle and as a hybrid, so buyers have variety when shopping for a Malibu.
Chevrolet Impala
The Impala is a staple on Chevy’s lineup. Since the Impala’s first model in 1958, the Impala has evolved over the generations. Today the Impala is a large sedan that is known for comfort and modern amenities. The Impala is available with two engines, a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with stop/start technology that helps improve fuel economy.

Chevy Bolt EV
Chevrolet is the proud manufacturer of the Chevy Bolt EV, which is the first, long-range, affordable electric vehicle (EV) in the U.S. The Bolt EV has an electric range of 238 miles on a single charge and with 266 lb-ft of torque, it is as powerful as it is efficient.
Chevy Volt
The Chevy Volt is the perfect mix of efficiency with modern design. The Volt is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), so it can be driven on pure electricity, only gas or in hybrid mode, which is a combination of both. The Volt has an electric range of 53 mpg and when operating in hybrid mode the Volt has a fuel economy of 106 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).
SUVs/Crossovers
Chevy Trax
The Chevy Trax is the smallest SUV on Chevy’s lineup and it is also very affordable. The Chevy Trax comes standard with a 1.4-liter ECOTEC turbo engine that produces 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. The engine gets an EPA estimated 25 city and 33 highway mpg which is quite impressive for an SUV. Other highlights of the model include: 16-inch aluminum wheels, a rear backup camera, 10 standard airbags, Sirius XM radio, and roof-mounted luggage rack side rails.
Chevy Equinox
This SUV comes with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, but is also available with two upgraded engines, a 2.0-liter turbo engine and the newest engine, a 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine. The Equinox comes standard with a MyLink system with a 7-inch touchscreen, OnStar Guidance, solar-absorbing glass, and 17-inch all-season blackwall tires.
Chevy Traverse
The Traverse is a three-row SUV with seating for up to eight passengers. The standard engine is the 3.6-liter V6 SIDI VVT engine and it produces 288 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Some of the highlights of the Chevy Traverse are its black painted mirror caps, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a rear windshield wiper, MyLink with the 7-inch touchscreen and a humidity sensor.
Chevy Tahoe
Larger than the Chevy Traverse is the Chevy Tahoe and it is also a three-row and eight passenger model with up to 94.7 cubic feet of cargo space. The Tahoe comes with a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine that can tow up to 6,600 pounds and produces up to 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.
Chevy Suburban
The largest SUV on the Chevy lineup is the Chevy Suburban and it is a behemoth SUV built for large families. Though it is a three-row and eight passenger model like the Traverse and the Tahoe, it has a massive open exterior cargo space, which makes it a great vehicle for road trips. The Suburban has the same 5.3-liter V8 engine as the Tahoe.
Trucks
Chevy Colorado
Named Truck of the Year by Motor Trend for two years in a row, the Chevy Colorado is an excellent truck. The Colorado is the smallest Chevy truck and it comes standard with a 2.5-liter I4 DI DOHC VVT engine, and it is also available with a 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel I4 engine or a 3.5-liter DI DOHC VVT engine. Depending on the engine the Colorado produces 181-398 horsepower and 191-363 lb-ft of torque. The Colorado comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels, 16-inch all-season blackwall tires, and a rear vision camera.
Chevy Silverado
The Chevy Silverado 1500 is a full-size light-duty pickup truck. The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 engine and is also offered with a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine or a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine. The Silverado 1500 produces between 285 and 420 horsepower and 305 to 460 lb-ft of torque, numbers vary based on the engine. The Silverado 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 9,400 pounds. Chevy Silverado HD
Chevy produces two heavy-duty (HD) trucks, the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD. The standard engine is a Vortec 6.0-liter VVT V8 SFI engine and the upgrade option is a Duramax 6.6-liter turbo diesel V8 engine. Horsepower is between 322 and 455 and torque is between 380 and 910 lb-ft depending on the engine. Other highlights include the standard suspension package, a heavy-duty 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, chrome bumpers, solar absorbing glass and more.

The Chevrolet SS is an excellent performance car for buyers that want space for passengers, but have the need for speed. The Chevy SS is a large four-door sedan with a powerful 415 horsepower engine. Chevy Camaro
The Chevy Camaro is a two-door muscle car that has been produced since 1967. Chevy Corvette
While the Chevy Camaro is a muscle car, the Chevy Corvette is a two-door sports car that has a sleek exterior design. There are a couple different Camaro models including the Corvette Stingray, Corvette Grand Sport and Corvette Z06. The most powerful Corvette model is the Corvette Z06 and it produces 650 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.95 seconds.
