2018 Ford F-150 XLT 4W
When it comes to trucks, there are three that most definitely come to mind Ford, Chevy, and Ram, also known as the three top-selling vehicles in America. Ford has stayed at the top thanks to the constant innovation, which makes it easier to get work done while increasing comfort and luxury. Ford has advanced the design of the full-size truck beyond what its competitors are doing with the F-150.
Ford has tech features that make it easier to tow a trailer, an aluminum body, and a 10-speed transmission. For 2018, the Ford F-150 has plenty of engine choices such as the traditional V8, a base V6, and three EcoBoost engines that deliver plenty of power for towing and hauling as well as respectable fuel economy. A forthcoming a turbodiesel V6 will round out the power offerings.
There are six different powertrains; truck shoppers can decide what matters most to them: the everyday driving performance, fuel efficiency, and towing and hauling. The base powertrain produces ample power. The turbocharged EcoBoost engines are an appealing choice, by blending an excellent fuel economy rating with lively acceleration and it’s mated to a 10-speed automatic.
Models that come equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 also have the highest tow rating in the group. For the maximum payload capacity, buyers should pick the aspirated 5.0-liter V8. The Raptor’s High-Output EcoBoost V6 has a 450-horsepower and 510-pound feet of torque.
The F-150 vehicle rides smoothly over most road surfaces, and unlike some rivals, ride quality doesn’t drop off when larger wheels are involved. It handles reasonably well. This Ford is a decent off-roader, but adventurers will want the Raptor trim, which is something of an off-road specialist.
For 2018, the F-150 Regular Cab can seat up to three people. The SuperCab and SuperCrew models have back seats that can hold up to five or six people. Grown-ups will have no problem riding in the truck comfortably.
The front seats are spacious, with enough adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of sizes. The SuperCrew is especially roomy in the back seat, granting more rear-seat legroom than most four-door pickups. Standard seating features are cloth upholstery and flip-up rear seats (SuperCab and SuperCrew).
The available seating features are vinyl and leather upholstery, front bucket seats. There are power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats. There are also heated rear seats, massaging front seats and heated steering wheel.
The base for the F-150 comes only with a radio, but all of the other models have some SYNC infotainment system version. The best SYNC is the upgraded SYNC 3 interface, which comes standard in most trims, from the Lariat to the available XLT. It features a straightforward menu layout, a responsive 8-inch touch screen, and effortless integration with your smartphone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Standard infotainment features are AM/FM radio; available infotainment features are satellite radio, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
