Few car brands have a following like Honda. And for good reason; Honda is known to be a  reliable brand that produces vehicles that many drivers expect to go well over 200,000 miles. The truth is, some Honda Accords can do even better than that.

What separates Honda from other Japanese auto manufacturers (or American, European or any brand for that matter) is the ability to ensure their vehicles pass the test of time. Not just in measurements of being driveable for many, many miles, but their ability to stay stylish no matter what year it is. That’s the prestige Honda has developed since becoming a powerhouse brand for American families in the 1980’s through today. If you’re looking for a vehicle that will stick around and eventually still be worth a decent trade-in amount when you’re ready to upgrade, look no further than the 2018 Honda Accord.

Now in its tenth generation, the 2018 Honda Accord is available with engine options. Smooth and confident driving is delivered with an adaptive damper system that helps reduce road noise for a refined driving experience. The refined Honda Accord has a turbocharged 1.5-liter intercooled DOHC 4-cylinder engine with direction injection. The other powertrain options include the 1.5-liter VTEC turbo 4-cylinder engine and the 2.0-liter VTEC turbo 4-cylinder engine. Continuously variable transmission with sport mode helps give the Accord a kick when pressing the gas; a feature in every Accord powertrain except in the available 1.5T in the Accord Sport model. The 2.0-Liter VTEC turbo provides a 0-60 of just 5.5 seconds and can finish a quarter-mile run in 14.1 seconds. (Not bad for a vehicle that only has 205 horsepower.)

Fuel Economy + Interior

The best part about the 2018 Honda Accord might be how powerfully it runs, while still maintaining great fuel economy. With a fuel economy of 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, owners can feel confident on the road and even happier with their overall gas mileage.  The tenth generation Honda Accord is the first Accord only available as a sedan, as the coupe is no longer available. The 2018 Honda Accord supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in every trim except the base Accord LX.

Accord LX

The base trim Honda Accord LX has a push to start button and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The Accord LX Sport rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Accord EX

The Accord EX provides a 180-watt audio system with eight speakers, heated front seats, LED fog lights, HD radio, SiriusXM radio and a blind spot information system.

Accord EX-L

The Accord EX-L provides driver’s seat with two-position memory, leather-trimmed seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob with 450-watt premium audio system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer.

Accord Touring

The Accord Touring is the premiere trim that provides dual chrome exhaust finishers, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System. Drivers can choose from the 1.5-liter VTEC turbo 4-cylinder engine or the 2.0-liter VTEC turbo 4-cylinder engine.

New Accolades for the 2018 Honda Accord

The Accord has consistently been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick, as this year’s version is no different. Named to Car and Driver’s 2018 10Best list, named Car and Driver’s “America’s Best Sedan” and Kelley Blue Book 2018 Best Buy Award as an “Overall Winner”.

A large reason for such accolades is due to the increased safety features like Honda Sensing Standard. Every Accord provides Honda Sensing, which are smart assistive technologies that offer features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, which helps drivers by automatically breaking when your Accord senses an otherwise unavoidable collision. Road Departure Mitigation System works with a small camera that can see any road markers, alert the driver if they are leaving the road and can take action to prevent you from going off the road.
