If fuel efficiency is a priority, this is a great option! The Smart ForTwo has an 8.7-gallon tank that averages 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The 2008 model is equipped with a 71-horsepower 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine, a five-speed automatic transmission and together 68 lb-ft of torque.
The body style if the Smart ForTwo is a two-door hatchback and the available model at Driver’s Auto Mart is the Smart ForTwo Pure. The Pure trim comes with 15-inch steel wheels, a leather wrapped steering wheel, cloth upholstery, and two seats. In addition, despite the small size, many reviewing sites like Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds say there is plenty of head and leg space even for tall drivers. So, don’t be intimidated by its size.
The ForTwo Pure has base level entertainment features, and is loaded with safety features to protect the driver and their passenger! A radio with AM/FM capability comes standard and there is a standard audio AUX input and a front 12V power outlet to keep your electronics charged up.
As previously mentioned, when it comes to safety tech, the Smart ForTwo Pure model is loaded. Brake assist, hill start assist, window defroster, keyless entry, electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control and an impact sensor post-collision safety system all come standard. Despite the size of the vehicle, the driver and passenger will always be safe in the Smart ForTwo.
The retail price for this model is roughly $10,000. However, the model we have with less than 50,000 miles on it can be purchased for roughly $5,000. What a deal!
