Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Earns Four Resale Value Awards From J.D. Power

October 23rd, 2018 by

J.D. Power, a global leader in consumer insights, analytics, advisory services, and data collection and analysis established in Costa Mesa, California in 1968. This organization recently awarded four different Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) vehicles with their Resale Value Award. The awards by J.D. Power allows companies, in this case automakers, to determine what aspects of their brand deliver customer satisfaction so that they can, in turn, enable growth and profitability.

The 2018 J.D. Power Resale Value Award recognizes the best resale value of vehicles across 24 model-level vehicle segments – pickup trucks, pony cars, crossovers, compact SUVs and so on. For the 2018 process, J.D. Power sampled 650,000 automotive transactions across 244 different vehicle models that yielded about 3,500 data points per vehicle surveyed. FCA’s Ram brand takes the biggest trophy available, as their Ram 3500 Heavy Duty pickup truck has the highest resale value in the entire automotive industry, while the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger were awarded the titles for “Highest Resale Value Midsize Sporty Car” and the “Highest Resale Value Large Car”, respectively. Additionally, the Jeep Wrangler won the Highest “Resale Value Compact SUV” award.

Ram 3500

Lauded for its durability, quality, and reliability, the Ram brand goes above and beyond with their Ram 3500 model. Capable of towing 31,210 pounds, combined with 7,390 pounds of payload and 930 lb-ft of torque, the Ram 3500 offers incredible capability. Innovative features like a five-link coil suspension or the optional air suspension give Ram Heavy Duty trucks the ability to provide better ride quality than other competitors’ trucks.

Dodge Challenger

Dodge is slated to build on the success of their latest Challenger by introducing the 797-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye for the 2019 model year. With features like a dual-snorkel hood, a new R/T Scat Pack Widebody with fender flares, an additional 3.5 inches of body width, 20×11 forged wheels, Pirelli tires, large six-piston Brembo brakes in the front for improved performance, and an available Super Track Pak package – it’s not hard to see why the Dodge Challenger has such an exceptional resale value.

Dodge Charger

Arguably the quickest and most powerful sedan in the world, complete with V6 efficiency and all-wheel-drive capabilities, the Dodge Charger lineup is designed and engineered to perfectly merge world-class comfort and ultimate high-performance. The Charger is America’s only four-door muscle car, designed with the Dodge brand’s promise to deliver American performance machines in mind, complete with advanced technology, authentic materials, and standout style. An innovative TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard and can be paired with several engine options, including a 707-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI SRT Hellcat V8.

Jeep Wrangler

Recognized as one of the most capable vehicles in the world, the iconic Jeep Wrangler remains unmatched with its off-road capability and touts over seven decades of 4×4 engineering prowess. An all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is available for the 2018 model year, while the standard powertrain option consists of the highly-awarded 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. The Wrangler boasts a body-on-frame design, front and rear five-link suspension system, solid axles, and even has the option of a six-speed manual transmission – one of the few midsize SUVs to offer that.
