Florida’s Car Shows and Events in March
From North to South Florida, there are three awesome car events in March that any car enthusiast will have a great time attending.
28th Annual MOPAR Car Show and Swap Meet (right next door to us!)
March 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Rob Lambdin’s University Dodge, Davie
Classic and contemporary MOPARs are to compete for honors at this year’s Florida MOPAR Nationals Car Show and Swap Meet sponsored by University Dodge and the South Florida MOPAR Connection Club. As many as 600 spectators and car show participants will convene to admire the range of MOPAR and AMC cars that will be on display. Last year’s show consisted of 178 cars and so far, 185 cars have registered for this year’s show and registration is still open.
Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
Location: Downtown St. Petersburg
The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Pete is a very respected auto event in North America. The weekend-long event is packed with a continuous string of high-powered races that will take place on a waterfront street course in St. Petersburg’s downtown area. There are six different types of races ranging from Indy car races, off-road truck racing, and three car classes including GTs and tourings and the weekend’s final event will be the Mazda Pro #2.
Concours d’elegance – Amelia Island
Location: Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island
Considered by many as one of the top five auto shows in the country, the Concours d’elegance takes place in the beautiful coastal town of Amelia Island. It is the perfect setting for a display of unique and rare autos. This year’s auto-related events include a seminar with top-ranked engine builders and a Porsche Driving Experience. Aside from the cars, the classy affair will include a vintage fashion show and a Sotheby’s Auction.
