Just What Exactly Is A Trunk Or Treat?
The 2021 Lexus NX is known for its long list of in-car features, competitive pricing, and solid values for reliability and resale. This bad mama knows how to blend comfort, grandeur, and safety. These compelling qualities make up the many reasons it’s been chosen as Driver’s Auto Mart’s Used Car of The Week!
Engine
The 2021 Lexus NX compact, specifically the 300 and 300 F models, are powered by a 235-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Though it’s not considered the hunkiest in its class, it has pretty good fuel economy figures and an outstanding amount of thrust. The base NX 300 uses a 6-speed automatic transmission to power its front wheels (FWD), while all-wheel-drive (AWD) is optional.
The NX 300h hybrid has an AWD system and a 2.5-liter gasoline engine linked with two electric motors. In turn, this creates a combined output of 194 horsepower. Unlike its gasoline counterpart, the hybrid model has an energy-efficient continuous variable transmission (CVT) that results in a highway fuel economy30 mpg for AWD models.
Interior and Standard Features
The interior of the NX 300 is virtually a home away from home. The front seats are incredibly comfortable and are comparable with other luxury cars like the Audi Q3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLB. While the passenger isn’t the best in its class, legroom is entirely different, as this SUV provides 42.8 inches of legroom for front-seat passengers. Rear-seat legroom is also quite adequate.
Second-row seats have a 60/40 fold split configuration. The rear seats also have a recline and adjust; some models may also get the optional power-folding feature. The NX, in particular, has room for plenty of carry-on luggage when the rear seats are folded.
Cargo space behind the rear seats measures 17.7 feet and then 54.6 cubes when folded down. However, the Lexus NX 300h slightly reduces these figures to 16.8/53.7 cubic feet.
One of the main reasons Lexus models are well sought after is that Lexus has many standard features and gadgets. These excitements include the dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry/ignition, satellite radio, and high-level safety technologies in the brand’s Safety System 2.0+
The Lexus NX 300 brings along Amazon Alexa compatibility, Wi-Fi, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration for the infotainment system.
The F Sport model encompasses sporty seats such as front; paddle shifters mounted to the steering column, sport suspension, and aluminum pedals. 300h hybrid’s come with standard AWD, Wi-Fi, and a power-adjustable steering column.
Lastly, each NX SUV has ambient LED lighting, low beams, and taillights, which are also LED.
