The 2018 Nissan Rogue Is Loaded with Functional Features
The 2018 Nissan Rogue is attractive, loaded with features, and has an abundance of cargo space. The Nissan Rogue is one of the most affordable in the compact SUV class. The Nissan Rogue is an excellent choice for a used compact SUV in a very competitive class.
The Rogue has a balanced ride with handling and little body roll when powering through corners. It delivers a smooth ride in all roadway conditions. The base engine is 170-horsepower 2.5- liter four-cylinder. The drivetrain is standard front-wheel drive (it’s also available as an all-wheel-drive) and the transmission is continuously variable automatic (CVT).
Both AWD and FWD models have outstanding fuel economy estimates for its class. The all-wheel-drive delivers 25/32 mpg in the city/highway and the four-wheel-drive delivers 26/33 mpg in the city/highway. The Nissan Rogue towing capacity tows roughly 1,100 pounds when it’s properly equipped.
The 2018 Nissan Rogue exudes the youthful appeal and dynamic detailing that many want in their vehicles. The vehicle has a “V-motion” grille treatment, edgy headlights and “boomerang” taillights give the SUV a lot of modern design elements without it feeling overly embellished. The wheel diameters can climb to 19 inches and Nissan offers a motion-activated power rear liftgate on the Rogue.
The interior of the vehicle amplifies what Nissan is known for having high-quality and stylish cabins. Rogue has soft-touch surfaces, attractive illumination, and tolerances. When driving the flat-bottom steering wheel (which is fully adjustable) feels good in your hands and the front seats— leather-clad in the SL models— are comfortable and supportive.
On the hybrid, the seats fold nearly flat, although the battery’s location is behind the second row which reduces the amount of space available. On the non-hybrid Rogue, the cargo room is more spacious and allow for the rear seats to tilt ad slide. There is enough legroom to stretch and headroom space to rest comfortably. The second row includes an EZ-Flex 40/20/40 split-bench seat.
The standard features on the Rogue are impressive. The buttons on the touch screen make it easy to adjust the audio settings. The standard infotainment system features a 7-inch touch-screen, smartphone integration, four-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also available is a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system, navigation, and HD Radio.
The 2018 Rogue comes standard with an unusually high level of collision-avoidance tech and when its properly equipped can drive by itself, for short distances. The Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies (the reasoning behind the unusually high level of tech), comes with Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Intelligent Back-Up Intervention, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Intelligent Rear View Mirror (I-RM), Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Driver Alertness (IDA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Intelligent Around View Monitor (AVM) and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).
