The 2020 Toyota RAV4 Is Driver’s Auto Mart’s Used Car of The Week!

February 21st, 2022 by

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 has many affirming attributes, such as its reliability, off-road ability, roomy interior, and hybrid offering. The compact crossover also has plenty of fun in-car features together with safety gadgets. There are just so many reasons why this SUV is one to consider for your next car purchase, and in this article, we’ll explore why this Used Car of The Week is the one to beat!

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 SUV has two powertrains to choose from: a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter engine and a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter motor paired with an electric motor.

The standard gasoline engine is rated at a suitable 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It’s matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which allows the machine to obtain a highway fuel economy rating of 35 mpg (FWD) and 34 mpg (AWD). It’s worth noting that these figures take into account that the owner utilizes the automatic gas-saving start/stop system on the upper trims, but not using this feature won’t change the numbers too much.

The Hybrid 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine is joined to dual electric motors via a battery pack. This pack is small enough to snuggle underneath the back seat, ensuring that there isn’t a loss of cargo space that is common in other hybrid SUVs. All-wheel-drive (AWD) systems are standard in this RAV4 version, along with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The fuel economy is even more advantageous with the 41-mpg city and 38-mpg highway. Overall, drivers with this model should be able to get to at least 600 miles on a fuel tank of gas.

The 2020 RAV4 SUV doesn’t act coy with its intense lines, near-4Runner front end, and dauntless paint colors that involve 2-toned designs (depending on the trim). The brand also does well with creating rugged wheel designs or other designs that range from classy to sporty (depending on the trim).

Adventure and TRD models are more intense with dark black cladding, dominant over-fenders, and a fresh front bumper and grille. The XLE and Limited trims, however, have smoother lines and paint colors, and glossy alloy wheels.

Interior and Standard Features

The inside of the RAV4 compact has a swanky style and feel, with plenty of surfaces that are soft to the touch. At the top of the dashboard is a 7-inch touchscreen and 8 inches on Limited, Aventure, and TRDs. This screen is essentially the control center for the radio, smartphone apps (CarPlay, Android, and Alexa), and satellite radio.

Interior seats are covered with either cloth or SofTex synthetic leather. At the same, hybrid versions, particularly with the XSE, have blue accents and stitching, while the Adventure model has hints of orange throughout the lodge.

Standard features involve a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, eight airbags, and the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (TSS) driver-assist package. The TSS comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, road-sign assist, and lane tracing.

More comfort-centered standards consist of a 7-speaker Entune 3.0 infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration. Siri Eyes Free and Bluetooth are also included, along with LED headlights, power windows, power locks, and power mirrors, along with a rear backup camera, round out the standard equipment list.
