December 16th, 2019 by

The 2018 Honda Civic is Drivers Auto Mart Used Car of The Week! This vehicle was rated Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. It’s known for its exceptional-yet-efficient driving mannerisms and its history of reliability and resale value.

It’s also worth noting that this “bad boy” was crowned KBB.com’s 2017 Best Buy Award overall winner.

Features

This 2018 Civic has a lot of amazing features one of which is the Honda Sensing system. For just $1,000 this amazing safety package includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, road departure mitigation, forward-collision warning, and lane-keeping assist. It also includes the Collision Mitigation Braking System, which can apply the brakes if a frontal collision is anticipated.

Standard features are on the least expensive trims, such as the Civic LX, which includes automatic climate control, a rearview camera, folding rear seat, and a 4-speaker AM/FM audio system with USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 5-inch screen. Buyers who upgrade to at least an EX model will have automatic transmission (optional on LX models), remote engine start, moonroof, 60/40-split-folding rear seat, and an upgraded infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.

Exterior and Interior

The exterior of the 2018 Civic has a very sleek and sophisticated look and also comes in equally elegant types of colors such as Cosmic Blue Metallic, Aegean Blue Metallic, Burgundy Night Pearl, Rallye Red, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, and White Orchid Pearl.

The interior is also full of deluxe materials and plastics. It includes a touch screen with Apple CarPlay and an optional navigation system.

Engine and Cost

Base sedans and Coupes use 158-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that has 6-speed manual transmission or continuously variable automatic transmission. 2018 Civic hatchbacks and higher trims have a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, which makes for a more powerful and efficient drive.

Additionally, Sport and Sport Touring Hatchbacks get even more power, such as the Civic Si. It has 205 horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 6-speed manual as well as the type R with its 306-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.

Front-wheel-drive layouts remain for all 2018 models. However, despite baseline models burning regular unleaded gasoline, the Si and Type R require premium in order to exploit their full performance potential.

The 2018 Civic LX sedan the least expensive. It has a suggested retail price of roughly $19,500 (plus destination fee), while coupes are a few hundred more. Additionally, the new hatch starts under $21,000, while the top of the line Civic models can go over $20,000.
